    God Promises to Protect and Guard Us.  God is Our Keeper.
    God promises to protect, guard and watch over us.  God is our keeper.  There is a story that has been told of a missionary in North Africa, named Frederick Nolan.  Frederick was fleeing persecution from his enemies.  He was exhausted so he went into a small cave to rest and hide from his pursuers.  When Frederick entered the cave, a spider began to weave a web across the mouth of the cave.  Frederick could hear his persecutors close by and he thought for sure they were going to find him in the cave and kill him.  But to his surprise, his pursuers did not enter the cave.  On seeing the unbroken web across the mouth of the cave, they figured he was not there and continued on their hot pursuit.  God protected Frederick from his enemies that day.  God is our keeper.

    God is Faithful
    God is faithful.  He is a God who keeps His Word.  He is a covenant keeping God Deuteronomy 7:9 says, " Know therefore that the LORD your GOD is GOD; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments," (NIV).  To be faithful means to be loyal, constant, true, devoted.  God does not change.  He does not change in His character, His love, kindness, fairness or in fulfilling His promises to us.  God is immutable.
